To the east, part I: Asakusa & Ueno

September 8, 2009

Recently I was in Japan for nearly two weeks for a forum. Though I was too busy to sightsee during the forum, I did have a few free days before it started to wander around and visit various areas in Tokyo. As a curly-haired, blue-eyed, tall Caucasian woman, there was no way I was going to pass as anything other than a tourist, so I felt free to haul my camera around and photograph anything and everything. Here are some of the pictures I took. This set is from Asakusa, in and around the Sensoji shrine, and a bit of Ueno. More to follow in another post!
