DIY Converse

Despite never having ordered anything from them, I recently received a Free People catalog in the mail. It had the above image of modified Converse sneakers, all of which cost at least $128. If that’s not DIY inspiration I don’t know what is. Buy yourself a $40 pair of Converse (or even cheaper for knockoffs) and modify at will. Free People will even help you out with close-ups here.

I think my favorite are the embroidered pair or the ones with pyramid studs. Which pair would you be most likely to wear?

I saw a girl at the laundromat making her own converse. Actually she was making a bunch of pairs, and was thus taking up more than her fair share of the dryers.

She had painted them. They looked very 80’s.
